Peregrine Racing to Enter Brand New Porsche Platform in Full 2022 IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge Season
San Jose, Calif. (January 14, 2022) — Returning drivers Tyler McQuarrie, Mark Siegel and Sameer Gandhi are set to race the Carbahn Motorsports prepped No. 93 Peregrine Racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport across a full season of IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge competition in 2022. For this month’s Endurance Challenge at DAYTONA, McQuarrie and Siegel will be joined by returning veteran driver Tom Dyer, who will also join the team's lineup at Road America later in the season.

Not only is the Cayman a new platform for Peregrine, but it is a brand new model from Porsche that will see IMSA track action for the first time at the Roar Before the Rolex 24 on January 21-23. McQuarrie, Siegel and Dyer will have five practice sessions throughout the Roar testing weekend to acquaint themselves with their new machinery. After the Roar, the season opening race week kicks off, culminating with the Endurance Challenge at DAYTONA on January 28.
"I'm thrilled to be back with the team and running full time in the Michelin Pilot Challenge this year,” said Tyler Mcquarrie. “Off seasons are always refreshing because it's an opportunity for everyone to reset and start with a clean slate, but this year is especially unique for us because we are running the new Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.
“After running the Audi platform for so many years, I'm very excited to work with Steve Dinan and the team to make sure we are getting everything out of the new car and I look forward to that challenge.
“Although I will have a few different co-drivers throughout the season, my plan will be the same every time I get in the car, and that is to be laser focused, and get everything out of the car for the best possible result for the team. I can't wait to get back to work!"
"2022 is big year of changes for the Peregrine Racing with Carbahn Motorsports team,” stated Mark Siegel. “We’ll be racing the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport this year, and the car looks like it is going to be fantastic on track.
“One thing we’re not changing is our stable of drivers. Tyler McQuarrie, our 2019 champion, will be the pro driver alongside myself and Sameer Gandhi. Tom Dyer, who has also been a regular in the car, will be joining us for the long races during the season."

IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge practice during the Roar Before the Rolex 24 begins January 21. Qualifying for the season opening race goes live at 2:25 p.m. EST on January 27.
